Review Mountain Flying Skills at This Month's Second Saturday!

Pilots who fly regularly to and from the Aurora State Airport know how to stay safe on a mile-long runway in the Willamette Valley, but how strong are your short- and soft-field techniques? At this month's Second Saturday Seminar, Willamette Aviation CFI Logan Frasier will review Mountain Flying, and how advanced skills are critical to reaching many far-flung destinations. Expect a close look at common errors on departure and arrival, as well as performance considerations, terrain and runway evaluation, and an emphasis on personal minimums.
 
This month's Second Saturday gets underway on Dec. 8 at 1100 in the Education Hangar at Willamette Aviation. The event is certified for FAA Wings credit and there is no charge — drop by or sign up on the Wings website to save your spot. We'll see you there!
