March 24, 2019

In response to the projected outbreak of Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19), and the Governor's Executive Order of March 23, we are adjusting activities on the Willamette Aviation campus, as follows:

• Our office hours have temporarily changed: We are now open from 12 - 6 Monday through Saturday, 12 - 5 on Sundays. Morning flights can be dispatched the day before, or by flight instructors before noon.

• All staff, customers, and guests on the Willamette Aviation campus are required to maintain a minimum six-foot distance from each other at all times. Willamette Aviation staff will notify people immediately if they are not maintaining an appropriate distance.

• Since aviation and flight training in the United States are regulated by the federal government, all pre-solo student pilots flying at Willamette Aviation are strongly encouraged to apply for and obtain student pilot certificates from the FAA.

• Dual flight instruction and dual simulator training is ongoing, under specific conditions. Pilots flying with CFIs are expected to exhibit no fever, shortness of breath, or dry cough. Customers can expect to answer additional questions prior to any dual flights. Please contact us for more details.

• The Redbird flight simulator remains available for solo flights so that pilots can retain their IFR skills or work on an Instrument Proficiency Check (IPC). Private pilot students also can rent the Redbird for solo practice, in coordination with their flight instructors. (*)

• Many aircraft remain available for solo flights. Some planes have been removed from service. Check online or call the office to schedule.  (*)

• Maintenance services are available upon request. Contact Willamette Aviation at for more information.

(*) Renting pilots may fly with a passengers who are members of their immediate household, as defined in the Governor's Executive Order number 20-12.
